Dorothy June Stillings Gardner transitioned from this life to her heavenly home on March 1, 2024. Born December 23, 1931, Dorothy lived a long and happy life, 68 years of which were spent married to the love of her life, Bill. Together, Dorothy and Bill raised two daughters and were very active in their church and in the lives of their grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her soulmate Bill, her parents Floyd and Edna Stillings, her younger sister Glenda, and her firstborn child, David. Forever impacted by her life and legacy are her daughters and sons-in-law Kathy and Kevin Haslett and Nancy and Michael Twigg, four granddaughters (Carolina Williams, Maggie Abernathy, Holly Hamby and Lydia Grace Rheal), and eight great-grandchildren. Dorothy will be deeply missed by her family and by many dear friends from the Millington Church of Christ where she served with Bill in the bus ministry, in the prison ministry, and as a Children's Ministry Sunday School teacher for many years. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 2pm at Forest Hill Funeral Home East on Whitten Road in Bartlett. Visitation with the family will be 1pm-2pm. A brief graveside service will follow the celebration of life, weather permitting.
