Dorothy Ellen Hartweck of Memphis, TN, passed away on December 26, 2023. She was born May 20,1930, in Boonville, IN. She enjoyed 72 years of marriage with the love of her life, Leo, after their wedding on August 31,1948.
Dorothy was a longtime member of St. Michael Catholic Church, where she had been involved in the Altar Society and the Senior Smile Group. She was also a member of McWherter Senior Center and enjoyed playing Bunco every Wednesday with the friends she made there.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Leo Hartweck; her mother, Nellie Hine; and her grandsons,Raymond Carpenter and John Oxner.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Donna Oxner (Fred) and her son Jim Hartweck. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Renee Minatra (Barry), Debbie Brooks (Hope), Donna Lefebvre (Tony), and Brian Oxner (Paulette); her great-grandchildren: Collin Carpenter (Louise), Conner Carpenter, Michael Minatra, Matt Minatra, Berry Brooks (Caroline), Halley Brooks, Micah Oxner, Asa Latham (Hannah), Cynthia Pepper (Nick), and Thaddeus Lefebvre; as well as her great-great-grandchildren: Josie Carpenter, Henry Pepper, and Archie Pepper.
Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved helping people and spending time with friends and family. She was a kind, sweet, and loving lady with a big heart, and she will be missed by many.
