Dorothy Denton who lived in Memphis for many years, died on May 10, 2015 in Senatobia, MS at the age of 92. She was a homemaker, mother of 3 & worked for many years at St. Joseph''s Hospital. Funeral services will be held at Forest Hill East Funeral Home at 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis on Thursday at 10:00 preceded by a visitation beginning at 9:00. Mrs. Denton is predeceased by her husband, WWII veteran, John W. Denton, her son John J. Denton, a grandson & granddaughter. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Moore (Billy) of Hernando, MS and Carolyn Szlasa (John) of Savannah, GA, daughter-in-law Carolyn Denton of Memphis as well many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. Her family is grateful for the excellent care she received while residing at Senatobia Convalescent Center where Alley Hardy was her faithful friend and roommate. Mrs. Denton was loved by many and will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
