Dorothy (Dot) Robison Taylor, 90, of Memphis, TN passed away on December 1, 2015. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia McSwain (Michael) and son, Adrain Taylor, JR (Peggy), five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one sister, and two brothers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Taylor, her parents and three brothers. She graduated from Southside High School. Dot spent a lifetime involved in many volunteer organizations: Memphis Council of the Blind (state and national), wheelchair bowling league coach and member, Shelby Co. Rescue Squad, City and state bowling associations, and many others. Her many achievements included induction into the Tennessee Bowling Hall of Fame, Distinguished Award from the American Council of the Blind for 50 years of service to blind people, a torch bearer in Memphis for the Olympics, and many others. She was a member of McLemore Christian Church her entire life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Memphis Council of the Blind or charity of choice. Funeral services will be Friday, December 4. Visitation will start at noon with services following at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown 1661 Elvis Presley Blvd., Memphis, TN 38106.
