Dorothy Helen Stilwell, 96, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014 in Jackson, TN. The widow of Leonard Stilwell, she is survived by one son, James M. Hamby, Jr. (Paula); two daughters, Joyce Marie Jernigan and Barbara Ann Smith; a granddaughter, with whom she lived, Michelle Jernigan; two grandsons, Michael Jernigan and Morris Hamby; a great-grandson, Brandon Max; and many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Helen loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Leawood Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 12-2 pm, Friday followed by services at 2 pm, both at Forest Hill Funeral Home-Midtown. Contributions in her name may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital or the charity of the donor''s choice.
