Dorothy "Dot" Van Hersh passed on Saturday, November 23, 2013, in Duluth, Georgia, one day short of her 87th birthday. She was born in Batesville, MS. Her family moved to Memphis, and she lived there until she moved to Atlanta to live with her daughter. She is preceded in death by her husband, of 35 years Bill Van Hersh and her parents, Hazel and Jacob Hays. Dot is survived by her children, Hays Van Hersh, Pamela Holley, Deborah Pressley and Tom Van Hersh. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at 12 Noon, November 30 with service at 1 p.m. at Laurelwood Community Church (Eudora Baptist Church). Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. 901-346-3250.
