Dylene Stokes was born Dylene Webster on January 12, 1946, in Manila, Arkansas. Her family later settled in Memphis, Tennessee where she was raised in Memphis she met the man who would be the love of her life, Dan Stokes. Dylene passed away peacefully on August 8, 2016, at Regency Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She is survived by Dan, her husband of 53 years; a son, Dan Stokes (wife Cynthia), of Huntsville, Alabama; a daughter, Cindy Wolfe (husband Jon), of Las Vegas, Nevada; and eight grandchildren: Taylor, Connor, Chandler, Eleanor and Esther Stokes and Ethan, Avery, and Barrett Wolfe. She was preceded in death by sisters Pat Ross and Carol Cooper. Visitation will be Friday, August 12 from 12:30 to 2p.m.at Forest Hills Funeral Home South in Memphis, Tennessee. Service to honor Dylene will be held immediately following the visitation in the chapel.
