Earl Max Cody born March 25, 1949, aged 73, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022 at his home in Byhalia, MS. He leaves behind his wife, Kathline Cody; six sisters, Nancy Carol Shows, Violet Louise Aldridge, Betty Elizabeth Dear, Mary Katherine Hamilton, Pamela Jean Moore, Ann Coggins; two brothers, James Keither Cody, Elson Marvin Cody; and one honorary son, Mitchell White. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Kirby Taylor; his father, Jack Cody; one son, Eric Michael; and one brother, Charles Edward Taylor.

Max was a longtime member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, golfing and reading.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 5:00-7:00p.m. at Meadowbrook Baptist Church 3115 Old Pigeon Roost Rd., Byhalia, MS 38611. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 11:00a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00a.m. at Meadowbrook Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery East 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN 38133.
