Eral Lawrence Logan

Memphis, TN

August 15, 1928 - October 30, 2015. The celebration of his life began in Webster County, MS. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Bonnie Hawkins. They left a legacy with a daughter, Rachel Clements and husband, Darrell; four sons, Wayne Logan and wife, Teresa, Ricky Logan and wife, Louise, Bobby Logan and wife, Leslie, and Tommy Logan and wife, Herbette. With 17 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren, his joy and accomplishments will flourish. The pall bearers are his nine grandsons as he called each one, Nathan White (Touche), Wayne Logan, Jr. (Froggy), Jeff Logan (Tater), Ricky Logan, Jr. (Putt) , Hawkins Logan (Dub), Justin Logan (Bo Peep), Thomas Logan, Jr. (Googaloo), Brandon Logan (Wally) and Dale Logan (Peanut). Mr. Logan was an avid golfer with five aces in his career. When not golfing, he was a successful musician in the midsouth area serving as president of the County Music Enterprises and Studio Musicians from 1950-1985. Mr. Logan moved from Webster County, MS to Memphis in 1949 where he began a career in the trucking industry. In 1972, he started L&H Transfer, Inc. Later he went on to form Three Way Transfer, Inc., where he retired from in 1994. The celebration of his life will be Sunday, November 1 at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, South. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. until the services begin at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Greenbrook Baptist Church, Southaven, MS.
