EDDIE CARTER, 74, of Amory, MS, formerly of Memphis, died Wednesday, November 27, 2013 in Columbus, MS. He was a Navy and Marine Veteran, a gun collector and loved to fish. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Carter and is survived by his children, Balinda Sullivan (Roger) of Jopline, MO, Marie Caldwell (Joe) of Walls, MS, Johnny Carter of Shannon, MS and James Carter of Pontotoc, MS; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Kathy Forte (Dickie) of Richmond, VA and brother, Larry Carter of Sherman, MS. Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013 with services to follow at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill Midtown Funeral Home. Interment will be in Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery.
