Eddie William Jenkins, Jr., 74, of Cordova, TN went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 2, 2020. Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his father, Eddie W. Jenkins, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jessie Watson Jenkins; mother, Sarah Frances Jenkins; and aunt, Esther Rockwell (Joe) of Pascagoula, MS. Mr. Jenkins served our country in the United States Army. After his military service, he went to work for Oakley Ford in Memphis. He then went to work with the Shelby County Sheriff's Department where he retired as a Lieutenant after 28 years of service. After the Sheriff's Department, he went to work for FedEx as a Senior Business Analyst from which he went on to retire as well. He was a long-time member of East Side Baptist Church where he and his wife faithfully served the Lord. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, July 6, 2020, from 5:00 PM -7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at 10:00 AM. All services and interment will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, East.
