Eddie David Ownby, 74, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at St. Francis Bartlett. He leaves behind one daughter, Samantha Ownby; one son, Charles Ownby; and seven grandchildren, David, Samuel, Aubrey, Samantha, Cody, Forrest and Nathan. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie "Kay" Ownby.

Eddie was an outdoors-man that enjoyed spending his time in the woods, going on walks, sightseeing and spending time with his family, friends and dogs. He served in the United States Marine Corps and served one tour in Vietnam.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 1:00-2:00p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home East 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN 38133. Graveside services will follow at 2:15pm at Memphis Memory Gardens 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd., Memphis, TN 38134.
