Edgar Lee "Scottie" Scott, 98 of Collierville, TN, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. Scottie was born March 7, 1923 in Pascagoula, MS to the late James Lee and Mary Scott.

After serving as a sergeant in the U.S. Army postal service in Germany, Scottie returned to the U.S. with his new British wife and worked for the U.S. Postal service for over 40 years. For most of his life he was a passionate vegetable gardener, fisherman and loved to travel. He had a wonderful calming effect on those who were around him. He loved his family and his Collierville Central Church family where he regularly played billiards until his last year.

In addition to his parents, Scottie is preceded in death by two wives, Eva Blanche (Thompson) Scott and Melba Driver (Edrington) Scott; two brothers and eight sisters.

He is survived by a son, Douglas Lee Scott of Horn Lake, MS, a daughter, Anne R. Nesta of Collierville, TN, and a grandson, Michael Louis Nesta of Memphis, TN.

Visitation will be on Thursday May 20th at 1pm at Central Church (2005 E. Winchester Blvd, Collierville, TN 38017), with a celebration of life following at 2pm. Internment will conclude services at Forest Hill Cemetery, South (2545 E. Holmes Rd., Memphis, TN 38118).
