Edgar Franklin Stovall, Jr. (Eddie), 77, went to be with Jesus Tuesday, March 13. He was born and raised in Marks, Mississippi, but graduated from Whitehaven High School. He was a retired bus operator for MATA and was a former district manager for Memphis Press Scimitar. He served as a sergeant in the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve. He was preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Alice Jamison Stovall, his son Jay Stovall, and his brother John Stovall. He is survived by his wife Janice Holley Stovall, daughter Leanne Stewart (Scott), grandchildren Holley and Sam Stewart, brother James Stovall (Jo) of Arlington, and sisters Adelaide Ashmore of Southaven and Birdie Haire (Glen) of Kentucky. Visitation will be Saturday, March 17 from 3:00 – 4:00 at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with service following at 4:00.The family requests any memorials be sent to Memphis Union Mission.
