Edith Geraldine Chaney went to home to be with the Lord, November 10, 2020. She was born in Senath, MO to Uylsses S Dinkins and Goldie Irene Dinkins (Preceded in Death) on October 5, 1928. She married Herschel Wallace Chaney (Proceeded in death) on June 21, 1947. Geraldine Lived in Southaven, MS for over 40 years and was a member of The Southaven Church of Christ. There she served as a secretary for 17 years.

She retired and moved to Birmingham, AL to be closer to family due to dementia.

She is loved so much by her children and will be missed by everyone. Her smile and laugh could light up a room. Preceded in death by her siblings HT Dinkins, Faye Sellers, Deloris Dinkins and survived by siblings Wayne, Doug Dinkins, and Joan Mertens.

Geraldine is survived also by her children Edith Diane (David) Blanton of TX, Francie Chaney (Glenn) Savage of Alabama, Herschel David (Janet) Chaney of TN and Susan Denise Chaney of AL .She  also six Grand children; Bill Farrior (Proceeded in Death), Wendy (Josh) Bowling of TN, Jonathan (Sarah) Savage of AL, Matthew (Marisa) Savage, Andrew (Shannon) Chaney of TN and Tiffany (Chris) Rivers of TX. She also had 10 Great Grandkids, 6 Great Great Grandkids and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
