Obituary

EDNA LOUISE CARTER FOSTER, 88, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at Methodist Hospice House in Memphis, TN. Mrs. Foster was raised in the Fort Pickering Neighborhood in Memphis and was a retired manager of Goldsmiths Department Store. She also was a member of Broadway Baptist Church in Southaven, MS and was Past Worthy Matron for the Order of the Eastern Stars, Normal-Whitehaven Chapter 43. Mrs. Foster is survived by one daughter, Sonja Patricia Foster Warmath (Paul) of Southaven; two sons, Steve Foster (Sarah) of Bartlett, TN, and Mike Foster (Marta) of Gallatin, TN; one brother, Earl Carter (Tommye) of Torrance, CA; six grandchildren, Steve Warmath (Vanessa), David Warmath (Aliea), Amy Foster, Allyson Foster, Mic Foster (Stephanie), and Maclain Magee (Mike); and four great-grandchildren, Gavin Warmath, Raven Warmath, Trey Foster, and McKenna Foster. She was preceded in death by her husband, Murray Foster, three brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 25 at Broadway Baptist Church in Southaven. Funeral Services will be held at 10 am Tuesday, February 26 also at the church with burial to follow in Forest Hill South Cemetery on Holmes Road in Memphis. Family requests that all flowers or memorial donations be sent to Broadway Baptist Church.
