Edward M. Hewerdine, 95, of Southaven, Mississippi passed away on January 16, 2024.

The Michigan born, son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather was truly a man of service. Edward vowed to serving God by being a member at Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Southaven, Mississippi. The Korean War vet also devoted to serve our country in The United States Air Force. He retired from the VA Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee as an Electronic Engineer.

Edward is survived by his wife of 69 years, Nellie Jackson Hewerdine; one daughter, Paulette (Andy) Snell of Hernando, MS; one son, Teddy (Linda) Hewerdine of Byhalia, MS; three grandchildren, Heather (Frank) Smith, Penny (Stephen) Raines, and Lisa (Tyler) Richmond; six great grandchildren, Robert Clark, Zach (Perry) Smith, Cody (Sarah) Smith, Gage Smith, Riley Raines and Andrew Richmond.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Hewerdine; sister, Dolly Krawczyk; and a great granddaughter, Bailey Lane Raines.
