EDYTHE R. CHANDLER of Memphis, TN went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2012 at the age of 97. She was born in Decatur, AL to Connie Ray and Annie Clemons, as one of 8 children. She was the widow of Walter Leonard Chandler to whom she was married for 70 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her son, Gary W. Chandler and daughter-in-law, Harriett G. Chandler. She leaves two grandsons, Gary W. Chandler, Jr. and Stephen w. Chandler; granddaughter-in-law and friend, Mary Sturgeon; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and friends. She was a longtime member of Highland Heights Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, August 10 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home with family receiving friends an hour prior.
