Elax Lewis passed away, Wednesday, September 10, 2014. The widower of Odell Lewis, he is survived by eight children, Delorce Joiner (Franklin); Devorra Lewis; Vernetta Whitley; Carolyn Lewis; Deborah Bruce; Linda Lewis; Elax J. Lewis (JoAnne) and Don D. Lewis; eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at Saturday, September 20, 11 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, 2356 Elvis Presley, followed by burial at Forest Hill Cemetery-Midtown 901-775-0310
