Elbert Noel Bain, 75, passed away in Memphis, TN on July 18, 2019.  Lieutenant Bain was retired from the Memphis Fire Department after 36 years. He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was very proud of his service.  Mr. Bain was preceded in death by his parents, James and Oma Bain and one grandson Cameron King. Left to honor and cherish his memory is his loving wife of 55 years, Brenda Thorne Bain; two daughters, Sonia Darlene Bain and Carrie Lynn Bain, two brothers, Jerry Wayne Bain (Connie) and Michael David Bain (Barbara). He has been blessed with two grandchildren, Kaelah Cristeen King, and Kearison Crista Lynn King and one great-grandchild Nolan Cam-Lee Jackson. Visitation with his family will be on Monday, July 22, 2019, from 5:00-7:00 pm with his funeral service on  Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at 10:00 am at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East 901-382-1000
