Elbert Garrett
Oxford, TN
Born on August 25, 1935 in Brownsville, TN to Henry and
Louise Garrett who preceded him in death. He passed away
at home on December 5, 2016 at the age of 81 years. Elbert
was also preceded in death by his son, Charles Michael
Garrett. He is survived by his loving wife of over 53 years,
Flora Garrett; son, Gregory Garrett; grandchildren, Elizabeth
Marie Garrett and Charles Michael Garrett; brothers Hubert
Garrett (Sandra) and Otha Garrett (Brenda); and by one
sister, Shirley Hill (Jerry). A graveside service will be held on
Tuesday, December 13, 2016 beginning at 11 am at Melrose
Cemetery in Whiteville, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorials
should be made to the National Kidney Foundation or to the
