Eleanor Sue Nichols, 88, of Hernando, MS, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Senatobia Health and Rehab.  During her working career, she was a preschool teacher from 1983 to 1989 at Cherokee Baptist Church in Memphis.  Mrs. Nichols loved taking care of horses, gardening, and fishing on her Hernando property.   Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Frank T. Nichols.  She leaves three children: Jack Nichols (Beth) of Hernando, Danny Nichols of Alaska, and Michael Nichols of Florida; two sisters: Willa Dean Gaddy and Julia Grimes, both of MS; she was blessed with five grandchildren: Kristin Cook (Brian) of Hernando, Katelyn Nichols of New York City, Matthew, Jacob and Ellis Nichols, all of Memphis; also one great-grandson, Trevor Nichols.  Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019, with her funeral service immediately following at Forest Hill Funeral Home, Midtown, 1661 S. Elvis Presley Blvd., Memphis, TN 38106.  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, South, 2545 E. Holmes Rd., Memphis, TN 38118
