Elizabeth Faucette Rankin, 90, passed from this world on March 25, 2014 from cardiac arrest. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Friday at Forest Hill Funeral Home, 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, 38133. The funeral is Saturday at 10 a.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home. She leaves behind her daughter, Rebecca Lynn Rankin-Wigand, her son, H. Allen Rankin, Jr., four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rankin was an accomplished classically trained lyrical soprano, remaining very active in the Memphis opera community, many local church productions and choirs. She was a member of the Beethoven Club, and sang in several Memphis Opera productions, including The Bartered Bride in 1963 as the lead soprano. She was active in church with her most recent membership at Germantown United Methodist Church. She will be greatly missed by her loving family.
