ELIZABETH PAULINE SCOTT CHANDLER, 92, born June 27, 1922 left this temporary home on Thursday, September 18, 2014. The daughter of Johnnie James and Willie Selma Scott, she was the oldest of 8 children: Peck Scott, Bill Scott, Margie Akins and Ted Archer, who all preceded her in death, and Don Scott (Margarit), Tony Scott (Glenda) and Diane Cogburn (Johnny). It was during these early years that she learned to be such a loving caregiver, hard worker and quite a leader. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde William Chandler, infant son Kenneth, and grand daughter. She leaves behind her children, Barbara Nabors of Tupelo, MS, Mike Chandler (Kelli) of Glens Falls, NY and Jimmy Chandler (Anita) of Bartlett; her 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and countless others that lovingly call her "Meme". Retired from Brown Optical and a long-time member of Wells Station Baptist Church, she most recently lived at Rainbow Nursing Home. Visitation will be on September 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. and services at 2 p.m. on September 25, both at Forest Hill Funeral Home East. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association.
