IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elizabeth V.
West
October 28, 1936 – March 3, 2025
Emma Elizabeth VonBoeckman West "Libby" 88 years old.
Libby West was born October 28, 1936 in Tuscumbia, Alabama to Walter Conrad and Emma Davis VonBoeckman. She was the youngest of 11. All have preceded her in death except one brother, Robert Arnold VonBoeckman. She passed away March 3, 2025 in Senatobia, MS. Libby grew up in Horn Lake, MS where she graduated from Horn Lake High School. She developed a strong work ethic which she passed on to her children. At the age of 60, she graduated cum laude with a degree in Mid-Management Technology from State Tech Institute of Memphis. Libby never sat still. She worked her entire life. Even as she entered the nursing home, she passed out daily chronicles to the residents until the loss of sight lessened her mobility. Libby never lost her smile. One of her favorite past times was singing. She enjoyed the singing group that would gather at her brother, Harold's home. It consisted of siblings and friends. Most of all, she loved Jesus. She sang in the church choir and taught Sunday School for many years. Singing praises to the Lord brought her immense joy. Grandchildren and great grandchildren were the apples of her eye. She cherished her time spent watching them grow. She enjoyed telling them about Jesus. She was preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Pamela Joan West. She leaves behind 3 daughters, Jessica Stanford (James) of Coldwater, MS, Tracy West of Greenwood, MS, and Leslie DuPilka of Anderson, SC and 1 son, Alton West, III (Allison) of Millington, TN. She leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Melissa Hardy (Mike) of Coldwater, MS, Max Stanford (Victoria) of Senatobia, MS, Jake DuPilka of Charlotte, NC, Hope DuPilka (Jake) of Bridgeville, PA, Emily Spoon (Ty) of Millington, TN, Abby West and Eli West of Millington, TN. Great grandchildren Laken Hardy of Senatobia, Avery Hardy and Asa Hardy of Coldwater, MS and Liam Augustine of Bridgeville, PA.
Pallbearers will be Mike Hardy, Jake DuPilka, Jake Augustine, Eli West, Ty Spoon and Tanner Thornell.
