ELLEN GAY STOWELL, 59, of Memphis, passed away May 16, 2014. She is survived by her husband, Dale Stowell of Memphis and her mother, Jane Drewry Gay of Olive Branch, MS. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Becky (Bill) Gay; niece, Lesley (Darryl) Torrell; nephew, Kevin (Christy) Gay; a great-niece, a great-nephew, three aunts, numerous cousins and many friends who loved her. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Gay, Sr. of Olive Branch, MS and brother, Bill Gay, Jr. of Memphis. Mrs. Stowell graduated from Wooddale High School and enjoyed helping organize their school reunion each year. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, May 20 at Forest Hill Funeral Home East. Services will be held there at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 21. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to West Cancer Clinic of Memphis, East Win Christian Church, 4350 Hacks Cross Rd. or Longview Heights Baptist Church, 4501 Goodman Road, Olive Branch, MS.
