Obituary

Ellie H. Driver, 81, of Senatobia, MS, passed away at his home on Monday, May 25, 2020, after a long illness. He retired as a Captain of the Memphis Fire Department after serving 30 years.  He also served 17 years in Tennessee Air National Guard and was the owner of Mid-South Chimney Sweeps. Ellie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ann Roberts Driver.  He is also survived by a brother, Jimmy (Rita) Driver of Memphis, TN, a son, Michael (Lisa) Driver of Kingsport, TN, and a daughter, Tina (David) Johnson of Long Beach, MS.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammie Fitts, and a son, Mark Driver. Surviving is 6 grandchildren, Wesley (Lanieta) Driver, Memorie Burke, Eddie (Rebecca) Burke, David Driver, Megan (Jeff) Cox, and Lindsey (Kevin) Astugue; 7 great-grandchildren, Skylar Scroggins, Paisley Watts, Olivia Burke, Leland Cox, Jackson Burke, Jagger Driver, and Swayze Astugue; 1 great-great-grandchild, Prudence Carter. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at 10:00 AM at Forest Hill South, 2545 East Holmes Rd, Memphis, TN .  The family would like to say a special thank you to Spring Valley Hospice,  Nurses Ashley and Jennifer, and Chaplain Monica.
