Elmer Ernest Peyton, 92, went to meet the Lord on August 14, 2017. He was known to family and friends as "Bub". He was born to Ernest and Ruby Peyton on June 9, 1925. Mr. Peyton retired from Turner Dairy. He was a member of Hope Apostolic Church. Bub was preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice Peyton, son, Elmer Ray Peyton, daughter, Deborah Winder, great grandson, Jason Peyton, and stepson, Daniel Walls. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Hubert Peyton, and two sister, Wilma Markle and Hazel Moncrief. Mr. Peyton is survived by his wife, Norene Peyton, son, Larry Peyton, and four grandchildren, Stevie Jarrett, Sherry Jolley, Scotty Peyton and Chris Walls. He had six great grandchildren, and one "favorite" daughter-in-law, Connie Peyton. Services for Elmer Peyton will be at Forest Hill on Whitten Road: Thursday, August 17 - Visitation from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. Service at 2:00 P.M. Burial to follow at Forest Hill East.
