Elouise Fereday Anderson, 97, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at her home. She was born in Memphis on March 8, 1917, to the late William L. and Bertha Martin Fereday. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Webber Earl Anderson and her sisters, Nell Walsh and Lena Oliver. Elouise received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Memphis. She taught in the Memphis City Schools for 35 years. She was a member of Germantown United Methodist Church. An avid reader, Elouise volunteered at the Benjamin Hooks, Germantown, and Cordova libraries. She was appointed a library commissioner in Germantown and a member of the Friends of the Library. Elouise was also passionate about her walking buddies at the Germantown Athletic Club. Elouise is survived by her daughters, Earleen Anderson, Zana Boyanton (Charles) of Atlanta, GA, Mary Ann Carraway (Bill) of Cashiers, NC, Wanda Lee (Bill) of Soddy Daisy, TN; and her son, Bill Anderson (Joy). She is GG to eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The family will hold a private service.
