Debbie Henson, age 83, passed away peacefully at her home in Horn Lake, Mississippi, on April 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Debbie was born on August 7, 1942, in Drakesboro, Kentucky. She spent much of her childhood in Chicago, Illinois, before moving to the Memphis area in 1960, where she built a life rooted in family, faith, and community.
She was married to the love of her life, Louis Henson, for 51 years. Together, they built not only a strong marriage but a legacy of hard work and dedication. Debbie began her career as a bookkeeper before pursuing her passion and opening her own flower shop in Walls, Mississippi, in 1987. She and Louis also owned and operated Crossroads Restaurant, a beloved family establishment, for 11 years.
Debbie had a love for life that showed in everything she did. She enjoyed playing and coaching softball, bowling, decorating her home, and tending to her beautiful flower gardens. She was a longtime member of Lake Forest Church of Christ and lived her life guided by faith and kindness.
For 56 years, Debbie and Louis made their home a place where memories were made—filled with celebrations, laughter, and countless gatherings of family and friends. Her greatest joy was having her family together, sharing stories, playing cards, and simply enjoying each other’s company.
She is survived by her five children: Tammy Stanford (Dennis), Ray Denison (Patti), Renee Patrick (Pat), Randy Denison, and Michael Henson (Nina); her sixteen grandchildren: Brandon Nations (Cassie), Jennifer Ables, Matt Denison (Sarah), Lauren Margeson (Stephen), Sami Jo Baird (Adam), Stephanie Patrick, Ethan Patrick (Audrey), Jayme Denison, Timothy Denison, Russ Tedford (Madison), Chase Henson (Tori), Hunter Henson, Tanner Henson (Megan), Danny Stanford (Megan), Shannon Thompson, and Christy McCracken (Shane); as well as 35 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother, Robert Arnold (Marie), and her nephew, Eric Arnold.
Debbie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis Henson; her mother, Lillian Ball; her stepfather, Guy Ball; and her father, Oscar Arnold.
Debbie’s life was a beautiful example of love, strength, and devotion to family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
