Elton Jerry Sterling's Obituary
Elton Jerry Sterling, 72, of Memphis, Tennessee a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army, passed away in the comfort of his home on Friday, July 10, 2026.
Elton answered the call of duty, serving active duty from August 1971 to August 1974.
Elton is preceded in death by his wife, Diane Sterling.
He is survived by his three children David Sterling of Arlington, Tennessee, Jerry W. Sterling of Memphis, Tennessee and Kimberly Porter of Cordova, Tennessee; one sister, Judy Sterling; one brother, Jerome Sterling; and five grandchildren, Abby, Ryan, Kaetlyn, Adler and Colsen.
Service will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 10:00AM at Forest Hill Funeral Home-East with burial to follow at Forest Hill cemetery-East.
