Emily Jane Dodson, 68, passed away July 4, 2025 in Knoxville, TN, of complications from ovarian cancer, surrounded by her family. Family was the most important thing to her, whether the one she was born to or the ones she built across her career at Cargill Inc. and from her church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl Franklin, Sr., and Vivian Scruggs Dodson, and her eldest brother, Carl Franklin Dodson, Jr., all of Memphis, TN.

She is survived by her daughter Michelle Landry (Franklin) of Cary, NC, her brothers Charles Dodson of Oak Ridge, TN and Glen Dodson (Liz) of Andersonville, TN, her sister Anita Bernardini (Tony) of Southaven, MS, and her nephews and niece.

Services were/will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Gardens on July 10 [at 2:00pm].

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a cause special to the donor or to a cancer research facility.
