Emily Murray Horton passed away on Christmas Day at the age of 86 after a long illness. Emily was born on September 4th, 1928, in Wyatt, Missouri, to the late Robert and Kathryn Murray. She is survived by her son Strother Asquith III and daughter-in-law Wanda Richards of Germantown, grandsons Justin and Hayden Asquith, sister Frances Sylvester of New Jersey, and her good friend of many years, Carolyn Stephey. A Memphis resident for the past fifty years, Emily was retired from First Tennessee Bank where she served as Executive Assistant in the Trust Division. A life-long animal lover, Emily was devoted to her Boston Terriers - Duke, Duchess, Dodi and Dasi. Forest Hill Funeral Home East on Whitten Road is handling the arrangements; a family tribute is planned.
