Eric Todd Roberts, Jr. passed away Tuesday, July 16 at the age of 29. He was born on November 21, 1989, in Memphis, TN. He is survived by his mother Kim Hill (Shane Hill), father Eric Todd Roberts, Sr. (Estelle Roberts), sister Mallory Roberts Dacus (Malcolm Dacus), grandparents Doris and Paul Foree, Joy Roberts, and too innumerable family members and dear friends to be listed here who mourn his loss. He has been preceded in death by loved ones who we hope are welcoming him on the other side: his step-sister Nichole Warren-Frame, grandfather William Roland Roberts, and his pit-bull Gucci, his great-grandparents, as well as many others. Eric was raised in Memphis, TN. His childhood was spent surrounded by the love and companionship of cousins and relatives, and the supportive Church of Christ community at Brownsville Road and Sycamore View. He went to school at Harding Academy of Memphis and Arlington High school where he collected many lifelong friends. He excelled in several sports, and though he could no longer play after injuries, he translated his energies into support for his favorite teams - especially the University of Tennessee football and the Memphis Tigers. Eric was fearless, energetic, passionate, loving, and loyal; he radiated love for music, friends, and family. He grooved to the pulse of the unique jam band that was playing from his soul, and he had so many of us dancing along. He lived life vigorously and passionately and his spirit and enthusiasm were infectious to those around him. He was one-of-a-kind.
