Ernest Powell Scott passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on 7/19/19 of age-related causes. He was born to Ernest and Blanch Ferguson Scott on 8/1/1925 in Coldwater, MS.  He was a teacher and pastor for over 60 years, preaching his last sermon at Kerrville Presbyterian Church on Father's Day 2019 and substitute teaching his last day at White Station High School in May 2019.  He was truly a man with an incredible work ethic!! Ernest is survived by 4 children: Rickey Scott (Georgia) of Eugene, Oregon, Sandra Bibb (Larry) of Oakland, TN, Timothy Scott (Gayle) of Memphis, TN and Suzie Bratten (Chuck) of Bartlett, TN;  10 grandchildren, Jason Scott, Jeremy Scott (Brandi Irwin), Joanna Scott Myers (Jared) , Chad Anderson (Amanda Rodino), Scott Michael Anderson, Brian Bibb (Vanessa), Brad Bibb, Sarah Harger (John), Naomi Scott, Zachary Bratten; 11 great-grandchildren, Raeanna Bay (Britt), Mariah Scott, Jesiah Scott-Nelson, Camas Myers, Gage Irwin, Cora Rose Anderson, Jade Bibb, Alyssa Bibb, Rae Bibb, Isabella Harrison, John Timothy Harger;  and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Mia Rae Rodriguez and Benson Bay. The family will receive guests for a Visitation Service to be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, from 1 pm until Funeral Service at 2 pm with burial to follow, all at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park – East.
