Ernest Wayne Woody, 67, of Baldwin, MS died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. He was retired from APAC, Inc., was a graduate of Treadwell High School and attended the University of Memphis. Wayne loved his best friend and wife, Tere, for all their 27 plus years together. He loved his brother, Denny, who he always shared jokes and funny sayings with. Wayne loved all his family and friends unconditionally and was loved by all who knew him. He was always the first person to help whenever asked. Wayne liked great food, good music, t.v., Nascar and reading. Wayne was a longtime animal enthusiast and loved raising the colts and puppies. He is survived by his wife, Tere; sisters, Jean Hiltenbrand and Joyce Owen (Elliot) both of Memphis, TN; brothers, Denny Woody (Lynn) and Howard Doyle both of Memphis; and mother-in-law, Doris Dillingham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Orean Woody. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday, March 11, 2013 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the funeral home with interment to follow.
