Ernest Clifton Worley Jr., 82, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2021 at the VA in Humboldt, TN.  Ernie was born in Symington, TN and moved around many times during his life, but ended up in Memphis, TN.  He graduated from Byers-Hall High School in 1956 and soon after joined the United States Navy.  He served in the Navy from 1958 - 1967.  He had many jobs during his lifetime, but he spent most of his time hanging sheetrock and driving trucks.  He retired from being an over the road truck driver in 2010.  He also enjoyed bowling and coaching soccer in his younger years.  He loved spending time with his family and serving the Lord.

Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Clifton Worley and Lucy Clara (Craig) Worley, his wife, Patricia Worley, one son, Mike Worley, two brothers, Austin Worley and Kenneth Worley, and two sisters, Winnie Grimes and Charm Segerson.  He leaves two sons, Chris (Wendy) Worley and Cary Ortiz and one daughter, Wilma (Larry) Hicks.  He leaves ten grandchildren, Dylan Worley, Savannah Worley, Sarah Worley, Cary Ortiz Jr., Justin Ortiz, Tyler Ortiz, Dondawa Worley-Treat, Ernest Clifton Worley III, Zachariah Worley, and Joshua Worley.  He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Forrest Hill East funeral home on Wednesday, March 31 from 12:30-2:00. The funeral will follow the visitation.
