Ernestine "Sugar" McConnell, 86, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Desoto. Mrs. McConnell is preceded in death by her husband, Charles McConnell. She leaves two children: Mike Skow of Cordova, TN and Cindy Rushing of Nesbit, MS; two grandchildren, Jenne Rushing of Gulfport, MS and Cory Skow of Cordova; one sister-in-law June Rodgers and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. McConnell loved to feed her hummingbirds and catfish. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 7 at Forest Hill South Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the charity of the donor''s choice.
