Southaven, MS - Errol O''Dean McCarty, 88, passed away on Thursday, September 05, 2013 at Golden Living Center. Mr. McCarty is a retired Master Sergeant from the U.S. Army and also retired Freight Manager for American Airlines. He was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church of Olive Branch. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Nelly C. McCarty, his parents and 7 siblings. He leaves his wife, Mary Sue McCarty and daughter, Patricia McCarty Hurdle of Memphis; four step-children, Becky Vanhoozer, Jennifer Shepphard, Dudley and Randy O''Neal, 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 7 at Forest Hill South with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials are made to: any Military Organization or charity in his name.
