Esther K. Bateman, 95, of Chattanooga, TN, and formerly of Memphis, went to be with the Lord, on March 22, 2015. She was a retired bookkeeper from Dobbs Houses and a longtime member of Briarwood Baptist Church. Ms. Bateman is survived by her daughter, Wanda Vogt of Chattanooga, TN; two granddaughters, Christy (Keith) Flinchum, Ivy Cleveland; grandson, David (Ashley) Bateman; five great grandchildren; three brothers, Calvin Kelley, Jack Kelley, Roger Kelley; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, daddy, brothers, great grandson and sisters. Visitation will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, March 31 until service begins at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens.
