Esther Hammons Roberts, 88, of Lakeland, TN, passed away on August 27, 2015. She was born June 29, 1927 in Saulsbury, TN, to the late Nathan and Cuba Lipford Earnest. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Larry and Deborah Hammons; daughter, Pat Long; three grandchildren, Jeff (Mandi) Long, Shane Hammons, Ashley Hammons; six great grandchildren, Chelsea Hammons, Dalton Hammons, Anniston Hammons, Brody Long, Tonisha Mosrer and Turner Kennin; a great- great grandson, Paxton Hammons; two step grandchildren, Kelley Leter and Amy Huffman and brothers and sisters. Visitation will be1 p.m. until service begins at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2015. Interment will be in Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens on Germantown Parkway. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be sent to Hickory Withe Baptist Church.
