Eula Belle
Campbell
Feb 29, 1944 — Feb 10, 2022
Eula Campbell was born February 29, 1944 and transitioned this life February 10, 2022. She was born in Edmondson, Arkansas, the fifth child to her loving parents, Mrs. Ollie Mae Grey and Mr. Robert Campbell. Like most of her older brothers and sisters, Belle was delivered by the capable hands of a midwife. She was a leap year baby so she'd tease her brother Sam that she'd always be four years younger than him. Soon after her birth the family moved to Memphis. Eula graduated from the famous Booker T. Washington High School. She attended Lemoyne Owen College where she earned her Bachelors degree, she continued her higher education earning a Masters degree at Memphis State University and Mississippi State University.
Eula Campbell accepted Christ in adulthood and was baptized at the Church of Christ at Horn Lake and Levi. While she worshiped there for some time, she eventually placed her membership at the Coleman Avenue Church of Christ until her health presented challenges.
Miss. Campbell had a wide range of professions: She worked at a local hospital in a laboratory as a hematologist. She was also a cosmetologist for a time working in a beauty salon. She taught students with developmental delays and autism at Hardwood Day Center. At Caldwell Elementary School she taught special education students until she retired in 2008. She would spend her Christmas vacations in San Diego, CA with her brother, their travels taking them to many cities in Mexico including Mexico City.
Belle had a variety of hobbies such as photography and nurturing her plants and garden. She enjoyed crocheting and beautifully stitched Afghans in the colors of the African flag for likely all the family members. Eula Bell had an adventurous spirit enjoying traveling learning new things and meeting new people. She didn't really meet strangers, more likely friends she hadn't met yet
Eula Belle Campbell leaves to cherish her memory her sister Katie Jones (Ronald), her brothers: Samuel Campbell and Carl Campbell (Adela). Additionally, her nieces: Rhonda Dover, Stacey Both (John), Melanie Brittain (DeJon), Karen Taylor (Michael) and Shanna Jackson, nephews: Kenny Jones (Cassie), Damon Campbell, Jacob Campbell-Bey (Jeanette) and Jerry Carter-Bey.
