Evelyn Catherine Smith Henderson, Wynne, AR,. Mrs. Henderson Died Friday, February 12, 2016. She was born December 8, 1916 near Tilton, AR, to Richard O. and Ruth Dale Ball Smith. She married Bennie Wells Henderson, December 23, 1939. She spent more than 50 years in Memphis as a devoted home maker for her husband and two sons while faithfully attending Calvary Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bennie; five brothers, Malcolm Smith, Ray Smith, Roy Smith, Forrest Smith and Warren Smith; three sisters, Jessie Swindle, Lillian Foltz and Maxine Dunlap. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dwight and Donnasue Henderson of San Antonio, TX, and Terry and Gwen Henderson of Olive Branch, MS.; four granddaughters, Melissa Henderson of San Antonio, TX, Susan and David Baker of Troup, TX, Rhonda and Sam Mullins of Olive Branch, MS and Nicole and Lee Worsham of Fort Worth, TX; and four great grandchildren. In 1993, a year after her husband's death, she moved to Wynne, AR and became a member of the First United Methodist Church where she remained until her death. Visitation will be from 4pm-6pm, Wednesday evening, February 17 at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park East, 2440 Whitten Road near I-40. Graveside service will be held Thursday, February 18 at 1:00 PM, at Forest Hill Cemetery East, with a memorial service to immediately follow inside Forest Hill Funeral Home at 2:00PM.
