E. Marie McDaniel, 97, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on May 18, 2019 at Covington Care and Rehabilitation Center.  Mrs. McDaniel was a housewife, and was retired from Plough, Inc.  She was of the Baptist faith, but after marriage to Ralph McDaniel, she became a faithful member of Providence Reformed Presbyterian Church.  She was active in the "Women's work", and served in the nursery for many years.  Mrs. McDaniel was  preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Ralph McDaniel; her parents, Lester and Estella Pittman Mathias, Sr.; five brothers: Lester Mathias, Jr., Joe Mathias, Macon Mathias, Marion Mathias, Dan Mathias; three sisters: Jane Lovelace, Mary Jo Smith and Martha Overton; two special cousins: Opal Moss and Cornelia Cozart.  She was a loving mother to her children: Linda Hughes (Danny), Rodney McDaniel (Carol), Sarah Terrell (Paul), and Mildred Williams (Larry-deceased).  Mrs. McDaniel was blessed with seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.  Visitation with her family will be on Friday, May 24, 2019, from 12:00~1:00 pm, with her funeral service following at 1:00 pm at Salem Presbyterian Church, 3400 Atoka_Idaville Road, Atoka, TN.  Her services have been entrusted to Forest Hill Funeral Home, East  901-382-1000
