Ezra O. Sharpe, 80, passed away Monday, February 13, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital. Mr. Sharpe is a long term resident of Memphis and a long term member of Oak Forest Church of God where he served as Sunday School Superintendent for 30 years. He retired from the trucking industry. He is preceded in death by one son, Carlton Sharpe. He leaves his wife, Margaret Sharpe; two sons: Steve and Cary Sharpe; a daughter in-law, Angie Whitten Sharpe; 3 grandchildren: April Eslick, Sarah Puhl and Rebekah Sharpe; also 5 siblings: Dowell Sharpe, Jewell Douglas, Geraldine Steele, Willene Newby and Eugene Sharpe. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 18 at Oak Forest Church of God 7700 Getwell Rd. in Southaven with visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
