Frances Juanita Buckner, 90, of Middleton, Tennessee, passed away on November 11, 2018 peacefully surrounded by her two granddaughters.

Juanita was born to Claude F and Dessie Webb Cooper in Arlington, Tennessee on September 27, 1928.  She was married to the late Robert E. Buckner on August 16th, 1947.  Bob and Juanita lived in Memphis, TN before retiring to Woodrun outside of Middleton, TN, where she enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing cards and watching the Braves play baseball.  She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Middleton, TN.

Juanita is survived by her three children, Robert W. Buckner of Collierville, Susan Evans and Sharon Buckner, both of Memphis; her brother, A. J. Cooper, of North Carolina; and her sister, MaryLou Landis, of Germantown.  She also leaves her five grandchildren, Mitch and Brandon Buckner; Brad, Heather and Kristi Evans; and her five great grandchildren, Sophia Evans, Madison McDowell, Rory Evans, Cross Evans and Mason McDowell.

Friends and family will be gathering at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park -  East at 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN 38133 on Monday, November 19 th for visitation from 1:00-2:00 PM, which is immediately followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM.
