Frances Furbringer Brown, 88, went to her heavenly home, Tuesday, January 17, 2017. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Frances McCarroll and Louis Max Furbringer. After graduating from St. Mary's Episcopal School in Memphis and Washington University in St. Louis, she married R. Bates Brown, Jr. They greatly enjoyed over 65 years of marriage.

Frances, an active member of First Evangelical Church for 62 years, is survived by her devoted husband, four much-loved children, Patricia Brown and Daniel Brown (Rosalyn) of Memphis, Richard Brown (Cathryn Collins) of New York City and Christie Brown of Walla Walla, WA. She also leaves six adored grandchildren: Daniel, Charlotte, Jordan, Preston, Joy and Sara Brown.

Services will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home East at 2pm on Saturday, January 21st. Visitation will be at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons International or Child Evangelism Fellowship Memphis.
