Frances Bryant Kitchens, 86, passed from this life at Desoto Health Care Center on August 28, 2012. She was born in New Albany, MS on November 13, 1935 to Lonnie and Cora Bryant. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lonnie Bryant and her sister Irva Nettles. She leaves a daughter, Ann Connors (Jimmy) and a grandson, Ray Connors. Frances retired from NAPA and worked at the Mid South Coliseum and Fed Ex Forum, where she was known as "Miss Frances" by all. She was a member of ZIA Temple Daughters of the Nile. Frances was Past Matron at Summer Avenue OES and was a Grand Representative, and she later transferred to Unity OES. Visitation will be Thursday, August 30, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with service to be Friday at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Glenfield Cemetery in New Albany, MS. The family requests in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the Shrine Transportation Fund.
