FRANCES BAILEY WHITAKER was born to Clarence and Eva Ward on January 21, 1924 in Slate Springs, MS and died on April 26, 2012 after suffering seven years with Alzheimer''s. She leaves her husband, Charlie Whitaker of Nesbit, MS; a sister, Glenda Howington of Memphis; her children, Johnnie Scallorn (Sandra) of Coldwater, MS, Eva Nell Taylor of Southaven, MS and Bill Bailey (Lessie) of Byhalia. She also leaves six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She retired from Senatobia Convalescent Center as a dietician and activity director after over twenty years of service. She had a love for children and the elderly. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Nesbit. The family requests any memorials be sent to the Alzheimer''s Association.
