Frank Joseph Anthony Messina "Popeye", 85, of Memphis, TN, died December 1, 2013. He was a retired general contractor after 37 years and also retired from L and N Railroad after 27 years of service. Mr. Messina is survived by his daughters, Mary Pennington (John), Madonna Livingston (Jim), Deborah Williams (Johnny), Toni Craven (Robert), Marlene Joffrion (Michael); sisters, Rose Ferrante, Mary Pieraocini, Frances Peacock, Connie Wheeler; brother, Johnny Messina; eight grandchildren; and his four legged partner in crime, "Rocky". He was preceded in death by his life partner of 33 years, Glynna Norris; son, Harry Anthony Messina. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 6 and service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 7, at Forest Hill East Funeral Home, with interment following.
